freebsd-buildutils software package provides Utilities for building FreeBSD sources, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install freebsd-buildutils
freebsd-buildutils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the freebsd-buildutils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freebsd-buildutils *
You will get with freebsd-buildutils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
